We're bringing Trondheim Open to Havet — the floating sauna village, waterfront BBQ kitchen and concert arena at Nyhavna, just 12 minutes on foot from Trondheim sentrum. Mats by day, cold plunge and a cold beer when the brackets close.

01. Format

Submission-only. Open to all grapplers — BJJ, Judo, Wrestling, Sambo, MMA and everything in between.

Compete in Gi, No-Gi, or both. Every competitor is guaranteed at least 4 matches when signing up for both. Brackets run as double elimination or round robin. All adult competitors weigh in without the Gi.

02. Experience Classes
  • Beginner — Less than 2 years training, BJJ white belt.
  • Intermediate — 2–5 years training, BJJ blue belt or MMA experience.
  • Advanced — 5+ years training, BJJ purple belt or Judo black belt.

Gi divisions are run by belt class and judged on IBJJF rules (legal techniques and point system) to reward technical Gi competitors.
